An appearance in Andy Diggle’s new Dynamite Entertainment series Uncanny is being offered by the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund in a special eBay auction. The winner will be immortalized as a character in Diggle’s Uncanny #2, due out this July. All proceeds will benefit The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. The auction ends tomorrow, May 15th, at 13:22:52 PDT.
In addition to having his or her name and likeness in the comic, the winner will also receive a set of all covers from the issue and a personally written thank you note from Diggle.
"The CBLDF carries out vital work defending the First Amendment rights of comic book readers, retailers and publishers," said Diggle. "I’m proud to be able to play some small part in this special benefit auction which will help raise awareness of freedom of speech issues in the comics medium and defend our Freedom to Read."
The gritty new crime series Uncanny was announced in March and launches in June (see "Andy Diggle's 'Uncanny'").
