Stratelibri has announced Venetia, designed by Marco Maggi and Francesco Nepitello, and a new edition of the World War 1 air combat game Blue Max.
Maggi and Nepitello are well known for their design work on War of the Ring, Age of Conan, and Marvel Heroes, and the new The One Ring roleplaying game. While specific details are scarce, Stratelibri says Venetia will be based on the history of the Republic of Venice, which was an economic and political powerhouse in the Mediterranean Sea region for nearly 1,000 years.
Blue Max is a redesign of the classic WW I dog-fighting boardgame, first published by Game Designers Workshop in 1983. Releasing in September, the game will be produced in five languages: English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
Stratelibri announced that it would begin selling some games directly to the American market in late 2012 (see "New Game Company in U.S."), and plans to exhibit at Origins and Gen Con this year.
