DC Comics has announced that September is "Villains Month," which asks the question: "What happens when the heroes of the DC Universe fall and there’s nobody left to stop the villains from taking over?"
And take over they do. Each of the New 52 titles will be replaced by one-shot rogue books, such as Joker #1 replacing Batman #23, Count Vertigo #1 replacing Green Arrow #23, and Deadshot #1 replacing Justice League of America. The front and back cover for each villain issue is a 3D motion cardstock cover, giving the art visual depth and the illusion of movement.
Villains Month transpires in the aftermath of the upcoming "Trinity War" (see "'Trinity War'--DC Summer Event"), a crossover event running through Justice League, Justice League of America, and Justice League Dark, and leads into Forever Evil, the first universe-spanning crossover event in the New 52 universe (see "First 'New 52' Universe-Wide Crossover").
