March the autobiographical graphic novel based on the life of Congressman and Civil Rights pioneer John Lewis got a coveted push when Lewis was interviewed on last night’s edition of Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report. March, which was written by Lewis and top aide Andrew Aydin and illustrated by Nate Powell, got a great send-off at Comic-Con, but exposure on The Colbert Report with its young, hip, and literate demographic should help stimulate sales of March, which is published by Top Shelf Comics, in both the comic shop and bookstore markets.
March, which is based on Lewis’ own experiences, may have been the first graphic novel ever to get a Presidential endorsement (see "Bill Clinton Endorses 'March' Graphic Novel").
