Reacting to a storm of criticism from fans on the Web who find the new character design for Lobo (see "Oh Lobo, We Hardly Knew Ya") was way too "Robert Patinson/Twilight," Marguerite Bennett took to twitter to respond that “the image circulating is just a concept illustration. Our Lobo is much bigger, meaner, and nastier.” Though she turned in script before she even saw the concept art, Bennett is the writer of the Villains Month Justice League #23.2 Lobo one-shot comic.
We will probably have to wait until September to verify Bennett’s contention that the actual Lobo as he is drawn in Justice League #23.2 Lobo doesn’t look like the Kenneth Rocafort concept art or Aaron Kuder’s cover image, but she has likely seen some pages of the interior art.
