CoolMiniOrNot will release the two zombie-themed board game follow-ups from its highly successful Zombicide: Season 2 Kickstarter to trade on September 20th.  Zombicide Season 2: Prison Outbreak is a stand-alone follow-up to the hit Zombicide board game, and Zombicide: Toxic City Mall is an expansion compatible with either the base game or Prison Outbreak.

Zombicide Season 2: Prison Outbreak is a collaborative game, and is compatible with other Zombicide products, including Zombicide or the Toxic City Mall expansion.  Players take the role of survivors (each with unique abilities) and use teamwork and their skills against the zombie hordes.  The game includes 10 missions on 10 maps, or players can create their own.

The box includes nine reversible, prison-themed game tiles, 90 miniatures (including six survivors in both their human and zombivor state, and new berserker zombies), new equipment cards (baseball bats, shotguns, katana, concrete saws, gunblades) and tokens that customize missions (including a security gate that rotates on the board).  The game is for 1 to 6 players, ages 13 and up, plays in about 60 minutes and retails for $99.99.

Zombicide: Toxic City Mall is an expansion that takes place in (surprise) a shopping mall.  It includes 10 missions (four of which are for the Prison Outbreak core game), new tiles and new equipment (hollow-point rounds and flamethrowers).  Players will face the dreaded Toxic Zombies, explore the new Ultrared mode, use super weapons, and play dead with zombivors.

The box includes 4-mall themed reversible tiles, 43 miniatures (including four new survivors in their human and zombivor state, and zombivor versions of the Season 1 survivors), 29 equipment cards, tokens to improve missions, and new rules and game modes.  Since it is an expansion, it does require the Zombicide core game or the Prison Outbreak game to play.  The game is for 1 to 6 players, ages 13 and up, plays in a hour and retails for $49.99.

The Zombiecide: Season 2 Kickstarter by CoolMiniOrNot raised $2,255,018 from 8,944 backers back in March, making it the second-highest grossing Tabletop Game Kickstarter on ICv2’s Top Ten list back in May (see "ICv2--Top Ten Tabletop Game Kickstarters").  The Kickstarter included both Toxic City Mall and Prison Outbreak as part of the fundraising goals.
