Marvel Studios has moved up the release date for Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man (see "Ant-Man's Relative Anonymity Gives Director Freedom") to July 31, 2015, according to Deadline. The film was originally scheduled to release on November 6, 2015. Superheroes are not typically released for the holidays, when studios tend to release family pictures and Oscar bait, so the summer release is theoretically a better fit.
The Man of Steel sequel with Batman is releasing two weeks earlier on July 17th (see "Ben Affleck Will Play Batman").
