Christian Serratos, best known for playing Bella’s school mate Angela in The Twilight Saga, has been cast in a recurring role on The Walking Dead’s fourth season, playing comic character Rosita Espinosa.

The Hollywood Reporter  confirmed that Serratos will have a recurring role in season four "with an option to be promoted to series regular for season five."  Rosita’s first appearance in the comics was issue 53, when Rick and his band encountered Rosita, Abraham and Eugene at Hershel’s farm while the trio is traveling cross-country to get to Washington D.C.  (In the comics, she is still alive as of issue 113.)

Serratos is the most recent comic character to be announced to be joining the AMC zombie drama for Season Four.  Back in April, Larry Gilliard Jr. (The Wire) was announced in the series regular role of Bob Stookey, a former Army medic haunted by his past, (see "New Season 4 Characters").  In the comics, Stookey is a Woodbury resident who saved the Governor’s life after Michonne exacts revenge for her torture and leaves him to die.

AMC recently announced a spin-off zombie series for 2015 which will be created by The Walking Dead producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, and David Alpert (see "Kirkman Working on New Zombie TV Series for AMC").
