Warner Brothers Pictures has posted a new trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, in which the voice of Benedict Cumberbatch as the dragon Smaug is finally revealed.

The nearly two and a half minute trailer has plenty of dwarven and wood elven action, including a pretty obvious hint of the romance between Legolas and Evangeline Lilly’s Tauriel at 0:48 (see "Orlando Bloom & Evangeline Lilly Armed & Dangerous in New 'Hobbit' Still") and a deceptive conversation between Bilbo and Gandalf about "what (he) found in the garden" at 1:11.

The biggest reveal though, is fans finally getting to hear the voice of Smaug--Cumberbatch (aka Khan, aka Sherlock Holmes) at 1:56, though unlike the previous trailer, the dragon is not actually seen  (see "First 'Desolation of Smaug' Trailer").

The second film in The Hobbit trilogy opens in theaters on December 13th.
