The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has sided with the district court which rejected Stan Lee Media’s claim to the Conan property, according to Deadline. The district court had ruled back in February of 2012 that the claim that the rights had been improperly transferred during the company’s bankruptcy was incorrect, and that SLM Media had no standing to sue in any case (see "Stan Lee Media Loses Conan Case").
The original suit by Stan Lee Media (which has not had any connection to Stan Lee the person since early in the last decade) was filed in conjunction with the release of Conan the Barbarian starring Jason Momoa. It seems fitting as a bookend that the suit is rejected as plans are moving forward for a new Conan film, Legend of Conan (see "'Legend of Conan' Nets Scribe").
