Russian company Zvezda is well known for its detailed military miniatures and more recently for its historical board games like the Origins Award-winning Samurai Battles.  Now the company is taking a different tack, with a game that uses models tied to Pixar’s Cars and Planes.

The Cool Twists racing game comes with two Cars models, and can be expanded using the other model kits.  It’s for ages 7 and up, for 2 -4 players and plays in 15 – 30 minutes. It will release in November with an MSRP of $25.00.

The Cars models, eight of which are already released, are for ages 7 and up, and are "snap kit" cars, meaning no glue is required.  Each model has from 12 -17 pieces, according to Zvezda.  Each are sold individually for MSRP $7.95.

The Planes individual models, six in all, also retail for $7.95 and have a ‘flight’ stand sold separately for $2.95.

Zvezda also plans to release a Planes-themed race game, called High Pilotage.  It will contain two Planes models.  It will also release in November with an MSRP of $25.00.
