CrossGen Entertainment continues to reap the benefits of luring MV Creations away from Image Comics. Today CrossGen announced that it would be publishing MV Creations' comic book version of the 1980s arcade game Dragon's Lair. Designed by animator Don Bluth, Dragon's Lair was state-of -the-art visually when it appear in the early 80s, and the game developed a huge following. MV Creations has managed to capture the original Dragon's Lair visual style thanks to penciller Fabio Laguna, who will team with writer Andy Mangels (Star Trek) and colorist Tony Washington on the monthly comic. Dragon's Lair is actually the second MV Creations title based on a Don Bluth-designed video game that CrossGen will launch this year -- the comic book version of the science fiction game Space Ace was announced earlier this month (see 'MV, CrossGen To Release Space Ace'). Dragon's Lair will be included in the June Previews and should ship in August.
