Mayfair Games will release the aspiring super villain card game Villainy: Diabolical Doom-Dealing Doers of Dastardly Deeds on August 21st.  The game will feature art by cartoonist Jay Stephens.

The game is designed by Nicholas Trahan, with art by Stephens, who may be familiar to comics fans for his animation work on Tutenstein and The Secret Saturdays (see "'The Secret Saturdays' Graphic Novels") as well as his Chick & Dee and Oddville and Jetcat comics.

The game casts players in the roll of wanna-be super villains competing to be the first to overcome superhero Fantastiman with their evil plans.  The card-driven character building game has players attempting to complete plans to beat Fantastiman.  Hire minions, pull off crimes, learn skills working at an alter-ego job.  The goal is to be the first to complete three plans and beat the pesky superhero first.

The box contains 168 cards, 4 Control Panels (1 per player), 48 Control Dials with bases (12 per player), 35 Action Cubes (8 per player), 4 Fight Markers(1 per player), Cubes of Power aka: Dice (1 per player), 48 Specialty Tokens (weapons, gadgets, skills, & more), 6 Notoriety Tokens, 1 Help Wanted Token, 102 Villainous Name-builder tiles, and a rule book.  The game is for 3 – 4 players, ages 12 and up, and plays in 30 - 90 minutes.  MSRP is $45.00.
