IDW Publishing has announced an animated adaptation of Alan Robert’s Killogy mini-series, developed by executive producer/writer Rodney Barnes (The Boondocks, Everybody Hates Chris). Many of the celebrities who appear as characters in the comic will also voice themselves on the show.
Barnes and Robert will executive produce the series, and Barnes will write the screenplay pilot. Frank Vincent (Goodfellas, Casino, The Sopranos), Marky Ramone (the Ramones) and Brea Grant (Heroes, Dexter), who all appear as main characters, will voice themselves for the show. The show will be produced by Chris White (My Super Psycho Sweet 16 franchise) and Jeff Mazzola (Descent, Suckerpunch).
Written by Life of Agony bassist and songwriter Alan Robert (Crawl to Me, Wire Hangers), Killogy blends humor and horror in a story that has a group of murderers inadvertently unleashing a voodoo curse on New York.
IDW plans to release a one-shot comic continuation of the story, starring ex-Misfits horror-punk legend Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein as humanity’s last hope against the post-apocalyptic horror unleashed in Killogy. The book is planned for Halloween release, and will feature a 10-page first look at Robert’s forthcoming series The Shunned One.
