BOOM Studios will launch a four-issue series tied to the Sleepy Hollow TV show on October 15th, according to CBR. The series will include lead stories written by Marguerite Bennett with art by Jorge Coelho, and back-ups by Noelle (Lumberjanes) Stevenson.
The “mystery-adventure drama” on which the comic is based, created by the Star Trek and Transformers team of Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, premiered last fall on Fox with solid ratings. The season finale drew 6.9 million viewers in its first airing in January, according to Variety. The second season premieres September 22nd.
In the TV series, Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman awaken in modern times. Bennett’s lead stories in the comic will be set in different periods in the show’s first season timeline, she told CBR.
And the back-up series may also draw readers. Stevenson’s Lumberjanes is red hot, and was recently extended into an ongoing series (see "'Lumberjanes' Ongoing Series").
