Game Salute has announced several board and card games planned for release in late 2014: Shadowrift: Archfiends Expansion, Area 1851, Wok Star and Top Promoter.

Shadowrift: Archfiends Expansion is an extension for the Shadowrift fantasy deck building game.  The players’ heroes are now pitted directly against the Archfiend faction leaders that were using the rifts to bring their monsters into our dimension.  Once the shadowy rifts are closed, the heroes must face the head bosses of the monster faction in mortal combat.  As an expansion it requires the based game to play.  The game is for 2 -6 players, ages 13 and up, and plays in 60 – 90 minutes.  MSRP is $45.00.

Wok Star is a new edition of the cooperative real-time game in which players take on the roles of family workers in a Chinese restaurant, trying to serve as many customers as possible to help grow the business.  While a 20-second sand timer runs down, players work together in a race to serve the clients, or they eat free.  Players pool the money to upgrade for new recipes, preparation cards and advertising after each round.  Players much reach a certain profit level by the last round to win.  The game is for 1 -4 players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 45 minutes.  MSRP is $60.00.

Area 1851 is a game of "cowboys and aliens," in which players take the roles of Tinkerers, who are out to gain the reputation in the town as the top builder in the Area 51 Wild West town.  Players construct strange contraptions and deliver them to the town’s citizens, gaining reputation.  At the end of the game, the player with the highest reputation wins.

The box contains 15 four-sided dice (3 each of 5 colors), 15 pawns (3 each of 5 colors), 5 score tokens, 108 Tinker cards, 21 Event cards, 33 Feat cards, 5 large player reference cards, and a game board.  The game is for 3-5 players, ages 14 and up and plays in 60 minutes.  MSRP is $60.00.

Top Promoter is a card game in which players are promoters representing fighters and everyone is trying to make more money than their opponents.  Players must position their fighters for the biggest payday, choosing from their deck of 15 fighters and five action cards.  Actual fights are resolved through dice rolling and application of the action cards.  The game is for 3 -5 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 30 minutes.  MSRP is $35.00.
