Stronghold Games will release the new Core Worlds: Revolution expansion for its Core Worlds Deckbuilding Game on October 22.
Core Worlds: Revolution expands the intergalactic empire building game (see "'Core Worlds' Deckbuilding Game") with new buildable Advancements including Cosmic Terraformers, Wormhole Generators, and Dark Energy Power Cores. The expansion also introduces new Heroic Tactics keyed to specific Heroes. Each Hero will command three unique Heroic Tactics cards, which are kept in a separate Heroic Deck beside the players’ regular draw decks. There are also three new Heroes (Captain Alexander, the Prophet, and Duke Magnus) introduced to the game.
The box contains 97 Cards, 12 Revolution tokens, 10 Core World tokens, 1 Central Zone Plaque and a rulebook. The game is for 2 – 5 players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 60 – 120 minutes. As an expansion, it requires the base game to play. MSRP is $29.95. Stronghold previously released another expansion: Core Worlds: Galactic Orders.
Stronghold also announced October 22 as the tentative release date for Panamax (see "'Panamax' & 'Kanban: Automotive Revolution'"), as well as the Among the Stars: The Ambassadors expansion (see "'Among the Stars' Expansions"). The second Among the Stars expansion, Expanding the Alliance, is planned to follow on November 5th.
