When Samuel L. Jackson’s villainous Valentine asks Colin Firth’s Harry Hart if he likes spy movies, he quips, “Nowadays, they’re all a little serious for my taste. Give me a far-fetched theatrical plot any day.”
20th Century Fox has released the new international trailer for Kingsman: The Service, the adaptation of Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons’ The Secret Service comic series (see “First 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' Trailer”). What follows is a lot of sparring, both verbal and physical, and a lot of riffing on the spy genre, both past and present.
There’s some footage of Gazelle (Sofia Boutella), the femme fatale with killer legs. Those bladed limbs are the main focus for the film’s new series of posters, which are an homage to the vintage James Bond For Your Eyes Only theatrical posters.
The movie opens in U.S. theaters February 13.
