In a special message to comic book industry news organizations CrossGen honcho Mark Alessi took responsibility for a rare delay in shipping CrossGen titles to retail.  After CrossGen titles failed to ship last week, the company announced that 'corrupted computer files' were to blame.  After CrossGen titles didn't ship again this week Alessi issued the following statement: 'While the titles were completed by their creative teams and ready to be printed, CrossGen's July 30 and August 6 titles will be delayed until August 13.  Please understand it was my decision alone for internal CrossGen reasons -- outside of last week's corrupted files -- that impacted the ability of these books to be delivered on time.  I hope our readers and retailing partners will accept my apology for this delay.'

Here is a list of CrossGen titles set for shipping to retail on August 13:

Brath #6

DemonWars: Eye For An Eye #4

Dragon's Lair #1

The First #34

John Carpenter's Snake Plissken Chronicles #2

Mark of Charon #5

Meridian #38

Mystic #39

The Path #17

Ruse #22

Sojurn #25

Way of the Rat #16

Alessi also noted: 'an updated release schedule for our graphic novels will be forthcoming.'  A CrossGen company spokesperson did not respond to ICv2's request for clarification of the 'internal CrossGen reasons' for the delays.
