Toynami has signed a deal with World Events Productions to create Voltron toys.  Though not all of the terms of the deal have been made public, it does include a three-year merchandising license, which will allow Toynami to create Voltron toys and collectibles such as a line of Masterpiece Edition transformables and I-Men mini-figures.

Besides the upcoming toy line, World Event Productions is working on a new Voltron animated series (see 'Fourth 'Voltron' TV Series in the Works').  The new series will have more of a 'retro' look than the third series, Voltron:  The Third Dimension, which was the first 3D CGI series produced in the U.S., and the top-ranked weekly kids show in the 1999-2000 season.
