Rob Minkoff, director of family hits Stuart Little and The Lion King, has set his sights on Darby Conley's comic strip, Get Fuzzy.  According to Variety, Minkoff's company Sprocketdyne Entertainment has secured the rights to the popular strip, which appears in 400 newspapers across the country.  The film will be a combination CGI and live-action comedy similar to Minkoff's Stuart Little and Warner Bros. recent film Scooby Doo.

Joining Minkoff on the project is animation director Kirk Wise, who helmed Disney's Beauty and the Beast and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.  Wise will be making his live action helming debut on the Get Fuzzy project.
