Hasbro's lawsuit against Ghettopoly manufacturer David Chang was filed on October 21st in U.S. District Court in Rhode Island.  Hasbro's President of U.S. Games, Frank Bifulco, said that 'Mr. Chang has chosen to ignore our cease and desist demands' (see 'Hasbro Cracks Down on Ghettopoly Game), 'and therefore, we are taking the necessary legal action.'

Hasbro's complaint states that Chang has violated their Monopoly trademark rights and copyrights while causing 'irreparable injury to the value and goodwill of the Monopoly real estate trading game trademarks, as well as to Hasbro's business, goodwill and reputation.'
