John Carpenter's Snake Plissken Chronicles #3, solicited by CrossGen, is at the printer and will ship by month's end.  Jan Utstein-O'Neill, Publisher for Hurricane Entertainment, announced that her company has taken on 'full publishing responsibilities' for the series based on the Kurt Russell action movies, Escape From New York and Escape From L.A.

Rumors had been flying around the industry that the title was dead, but Utstein-O'Neill confirms that the third and fourth issues will ship 'exactly as solicited.'  The first four issues of the series, which comprise the first story arc, will finally be completed.  Issues # 3 and #4 will be published by Hurricane, with orders shipped based on the original CrossGen purchase orders.

Hurricane is currently in negotiations with other publishers about future story arcs.  Issue #4 is penciled and entering final production, with a cover by Michael Golden.

Snake Plissken licensed products include action figures, and anime and video games in the production stages (see 'Aquaman & Snake Plissken to Star in Video Games').  Namco Hometek Inc. is planning to release multiple video games centered around Snake Plissken fighting his way through a post-apocalyptic universe, with the first currently scheduled to be in stores for Christmas, 2005.  Kurt Russell will provide the voice for the character he made famous.
