Viz plans to release the first volume of Tite Kubo's Bleach manga in June.  The 192-page graphic novel will be part of the Viz Shonen Jump line and will have a cover price of $7.95.  Shueisha published the popular supernatural action series in Japan, where it was a popular feature in the weekly Shonen Jump magazine.  Viz plans to preview the series in the June issue of the American edition of Shonen Jump.

The protagonist of Bleach is a 15 year-old boy, Ichigo, who has the ability to see supernatural beings of all kinds.  A fateful meeting with a female Shinigami (God of Death) leads to a pairing of the young hero and the deadly goddess, who embark on a series of supernatural adventures.  In addition to outstanding success in Japan, Bleach has also been a hit in Europe, especially in France where it is published by Glenat.
