The Board of Directors of the Game Manufacturers Association has appointed John Kaufeld to succeed John Phythyon as its Vice President.  Mr. Phythyon resigned the post prior to accepting a staff job as GAMA's Public and Member Relations Director.  Kaufeld, a partner in More Than Games, a hobby game store in Fort Wayne, Indiana, has served on the board of the GAMA Retail Division since March of 2003.  Kaufeld assumed the chairmanship of GAMA's Retail Division when its previous chair, D.P. Vernazzarro resigned.  Mr. Kaufeld has resigned as chair of GAMA's Retail Division to accept the appointment as Vice President of the entire organization.  Retail Division Vice-Chairman Rob Placer will assume the duties of Chairman of the Retail Division until new elections are held at the GAMA trade show in March.
