Iron Man Movie Gets a New Writer

David Hayter, who wrote both X-Men and X2, has been hired to rewrite Marvel's Iron Man movie, which is planned for release next year, according to Variety.  The film is planned as a tentpole by New Line.  The previous draft was written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who created Smallville.  Hayter also wrote The Scorpion King and an adaptation of The Watchmen.
