Archie Comic Publications, Inc.  has announced plans to publish a trade paperback collection of Little Archie Comics.  Created by artist/writer Bob Bolling in 1956, some fifteen years after the debut of the adolescent adventures of Archie, Betty, Jughead, and Veronica, Little Archie comics chronicled the early lives of America's favorite teenagers.  Needless to say the qualities that made these characters unforgettable in their teenage years were also apparent during their grade school days.  The Adventures of Little Archie contains 96 full color pages of Little Archie adventures that were originally published from 1961 to 1965.  The collection has a cover price of $10.95 and ships to retailers on September 21.

For retailers looking for comics they can recommend for young readers, The Adventures of Little Archie and the rest of the Archie Classics line of trade paperbacks should not be overlooked.  During interviews for the production of ICv2's Retailers Guide to Graphic Novels, storeowners who stock the Archie Classics have had nothing but good things to say about the line, which has become a staple in their 'young readers' sections.
