Tokyopop has announced a new 'Cine-Manga' title based on a popular non-anime animated series, Totally Spies, the second highest rated show on the Cartoon Network.  Totally Spies, which chronicles the adventures of three cute Beverly Hills teens who juggle school, homework, boyfriends, and saving the world, is currently showing twice a day (during the week) on the Cartoon Network.  Tokyopop's 'Cine-Manga' use images from the actual animated series combined (fumetti-style) with word balloons to create a full color comic book version a TV episode or movie.

Totally Spies, which is produced by the French animation studio Marathon, has a strong female viewership, which Tokyopop hopes will make it as popular as some of the publishers other female-skewing 'Cine-Manga' such as its Lizzie McGwire series.
