The Topps Company has provided ICv2 with a rundown of some of its key releases over the next six months.  In October Topps will release a Lord of the Rings Trilogy Chrome series, which will feature all new images from all three movies in Peter Jackson's Oscar-winning adaptation of the classic fantasy trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien.  The deluxe, high quality chrome cards will come five per pack and will have an MSRP of $2.50 a pack.

Also coming from Topps this fall is a second series of Wacky Packages, the savage satire of commercial brands, which has been a surprise hit in the pop culture stores carrying it; as well as a Bratz sticker album, featuring the popular dolls, which are challenging Mattel's Barbie in a major battle for the affections of pre-teen girls.

2005 will mark the twentieth anniversary of the Garbage Pail Kids, so retailers can expect to see more of the revived GPK cards, which have proved popular in the mass market.

Topps also plans to release a second Star Wars: Clone Wars card series, based on the Cartoon Network cartoons, in Q1 2005.
