Variety is reporting that Hugh Jackman (and his producing partner John Palermo) will be involved inthe third X-Men film as well as in producing the Wolverine feature that David Benioff (Troy) is currently writing. Meanwhile Famke Janssen, who portrayed Jean Grey in the first two X-Men movies, told Zap2it.com that work was progressing on the script for X-Men 3 and that the producers were hoping to start filming late this summer. Janssen's Jean Grey transformed into the Dark Phoenix at the end of X-2 and the actress hopes to play a major role in X-3, though the plot for the next film is still under wraps. Janssen told Zap2it that she had cleared her schedule for this summer in hopes that X-3 will start production and that she will be able to reprise her role.
