As the d20 world consolidates (see 'd20 Crackdown, the Aftermath),' two magazines featuring d20 adventures announced their Q4 plans.  Jon Leitheusser of Corsair, publisher of Campaign (see 'Corsair To Publish d20 Magazine') sent us the cover of the second issue, which will be a horror-themed Halloween issue released in early October.  The horror theme solidifies Campaign's claim to be a resource for any d20 setting.

Leitheusser said that he was satisfied if a bit mystified by sales on the first issue.  He said some distributors had ordered in their quantities and not reordered, while others had reordered huge multiples of their initial draws.

at GenCon
Meanwhile United Playtest, publisher of Gaming Frontiers (see 'Another d20 Magazine Bows this Year') issued a small preview issue at GenCon and plans a December release date for the first regular issue.  The format has been changed, however, to an 88-page perfect-bound book with interior color.  Content is expected to be the same as originally announced -- original game material, articles from established d20 publishers, previews, art, etc.
