Topher Grace, best known to American audiences as Eric Forman from That Seventies Show, has signed on to play one of two as-yet-unnamed villains (Thomas Haden Church plays the other) in Spider-Man 3, where he will join returning stars Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco.  In addition to seven seasons on That Seventies Show, Grace has demonstrated considerable talent on the big screen in films such as Traffic, Oceans Eleven, In Good Company and P.S.

Spider-Man 3 is slated for release on May 4, 2007 and production is scheduled to begin early in 2006.  Sam Raimi, who directed the first two Spider-Man films, which have grossed over $1.5 billion at the worldwide box office, returns to helm Spider-Man 3.
