White Wolf Publishing, Inc. has announced that it has selected Atlanta-based Publisher Services, Inc. (PSI) to handle all sales and inventory management for White Wolf. Starting on July 1 PSI will represent White Wolf product lines to all distribution channels worldwide. According to White Wolf's President, Mike Tinney, ' Having a separate company focus on sales operations and inventory management allows us to put our resources exclusively into product creation and marketing.'
PSI currently has three industry veteran sales professionals handling the various channels of distribution with Fred Yelk Woodruff and Ross Jepson overseeing sales to hobby distributors and Mike Krause in charge of sales to the North American book trade channels. PSI began in 2001 and now represents of a number of gaming companies including Alderac Entertainment (book trade only), Arthaus, Dork Storm Press, Fluid Entertainment, Margaret Weis Productions, and Steve Jackson Games (book trade only).
While outsourcing sales and inventory management should allow White Wolf to concentrate on game development and marketing, it should little or no direct effect on retailers. White Wolf's decision to go with PSI will not affect any pre-orders or retail order solicitations. New White Wolf products will continue to be listed in game distributor catalogs and White Wolf backlist items will also be available through hobby distributors.
