As previously reported on ICv2 (see 'From Hell Previews in Vegas'), a new movie based on Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell's From Hell is being released this fall. The U.S. release date has been announced as October 19th, making this Jack the Ripper opus a Halloween movie, an appropriate timing for one of the scarier topics in pop culture. Just in time for the new movie, a new edition of the trade paperback collection has been released with a cover based on the movie poster. Starring Johnny Depp and Heather Graham and directed by the Hughes brothers, this movie has a good chance to bring new attention to this deserving work. In addition to the $35.00 trade paperback collection, there's also a one-shot sequel comic in print -- From Hell: Dance of the Gull Catcher.
