John Danovich, Director of Special Projects at ACD Distribution, will become Vice-President of Sales for Fast Forward Entertainment, a Wisconsin-based publishing company that has put out several game supplements for the d20 system and their own proprietary game and card game worlds, effective October 1, 2001.  Danovich will continue to consult for ACD on a part-time basis until his current projects, including selection and implementation of new distribution software, are completed.  According to Richard Kummer, President of ACD Distribution, 'John will...continue to help with our direction and moving ACD forward in the industry.  We have come a long way in the last couple of years and we look forward to improving our internal and external systems and better serving our retail partners.  John has helped us get to this point, and we hope that his continued insight will help us get to the next level.'  Danovich has had a long career in the games business at TSR, Capital City Distrubution, Sendai, and other companies.

Jim Ward, designer of the top-selling Dragonball Z CCG (see 'Top 10 Cool -- Games') and formerly a major creative and management force at TSR will also be spending more time at Fast Forward, of which is part owner.  His contract with Score, where he was more recently working on the Buffy CCG,  has ended and was not renewed.  These two moves together may make Fast Forward, up until now a minor force in the games business, a force to be reckoned with in the coming months.
