Cartoon Network has announced that the premiere showings of Naruto (see 'Naruto Debuts on September 10th') have garnered impressive ratings, with major gains over the previous programming in its Toonami time slots.  The 9 p.m. (ET, PT) showing delivered 572,000 tweens 9-14, up 20% over the same time slot over the previous four weeks; and 443,000 kids 6-11, up 25% over the previous period.  About 75% of the viewers in both age groups were male.
