7homas (Punisher) Jane has been cast as the lead in Mutant Chronicles, according to Variety.  Mutant Chronicles is based on the 90s RPG; the property is now owned by Swedish company Paradox Entertainment (which also owns Conan, see 'Conan Has New Owner').  The property had a little run in the 90s:  Acclaim published Mutant Chronicles comics; two CCGs (Doomtrooper and Dark Eden) were  published; and the property has also been the subject of a Super Nintendo Entertainment System game.   

 

The film has been in development by Pressman & Co. for ten years.  Simon Hunter will direct, and additional casting is underway.  The film is scheduled to start shooting in the spring.
