Stephen King has announced on his Website that he and Marvel have decided to delay the launch of the Dark Tower comic book series from April of 2006 to February of 2007.  In explaining the move, King cited a number of projects already on his schedule for 2006 and concluded: 'The Marvel series is going to be a blast, and I want to have the time to enjoy it.' The Marvel Dark Tower series (see 'Marvel Announces Three Projects With Best-Selling Authors') will feature art by Jae Lee and will concentrate on the youthful adventures of Roland Deschain, the hero of the 7-volume series of Dark Tower novels.

The revised schedule for the Marvel Dark Tower comics has the first book in the six-issue series shipping in February 2007, with the first hardcover collection due out in October 2007.
