MGA Entertainment Gets Marvel Die-Cast License

Maker of Popular Bratz Dolls

The Van Nuys California-based MGA Entertainment, manufacturer of the popular Bratz dolls, has secured a multi-year license for die-cast and remote controlled vehicles based upon the Marvel Superhero universe.  The license covers the classic Marvel comic book heroes as well as Marvel-inspired films produced by Sony including Ghost Rider and Spider-Man 3, both of which will debut in 2007.

For MGA Entertainment, the Marvel license is another shot across the bow of Mattel, America's biggest toymaker, which is the maker of Hot Wheels.  MGA's Bratz dolls have already taken a huge chunk of the domestic market away from Mattel's Barbie (see 'Mattel Earnings Down, Stock Up').
