One of the most interesting bits of news to come out of the recent New York ToyFair, at least as far as pop culture retailers catering to an older clientele are concerned, was NECA's announcement of action figures based on Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's Grind, which is currently slated to debut on September 22nd.  Grind, which was formerly known as Grindhouse (a reference to theaters that routinely played sleazy films, often double or triple features), will include two 60-minute features, Project Terror, a zombie flick directed by Rodriguez, and Deathproof, a slasher film helmed by Tarantino, plus some faux movie trailers, which will run between the two main attractions.

NECA will have representatives on the set in order to get the figure references just right and to see if there are opportunities for any other Grindhouse goodies such as cigarette lighters or shot glasses.
