Twentieth Century Fox's X-Men movie trilogy will come to an end with X-Men: The Last Stand, which will debut nationwide on May 26, but it won't be the last time that Professor Xavier's mutant minions grace the big screen.  In addition to the previously announced Wolverine-based film (see 'Jackman to Produce Wolverine Movie'), Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Fox has other spin-off plans including 'a Magneto prequel,' and a 'flick featuring the younger X-Men.'

Meanwhile X-Men: The Last Stand will not be a mere cinematic rehash of the Dark Phoenix storyline -- the film centers on a 'cure' for mutations, which Ian McKellen (Magneto) finds as repugnant as the reputed 'cures' for homosexuality bandied about by benighted religious extremists.
