For Warner Bros. Film

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a writer is now attached to the Warner Bros. production of Sgt. Rock.

John Cox will pen the Joel Silver-produced film about the stoic WWII sergeant.  This announcement might kick start the project, which has languished in recent years despite such A-list writers as L.A. Confidential scribe Brian Helgeland and John Milius taking their turns at an adaptation.
