Beckett Media has announced its newest publication, Beckett Massive Online Gamer, a bi-monthly magazine, which will retail for $5.99 and will debut at the end of May.  The title will focus on the community of online games and the products that keep players excited. The inaugural issue will feature interviews, instance maps, questing guides, and articles about specific player's interaction with various games.  Contributors will include experts at Beckett Media as well as industry professionals and top gamers.

For retailers Beckett Massive Online Gamer presents an opportunity to profit in some way from the MMORPGs (Massively Multi-Player Online Role-Playing Games), which according to many industry observers have been responsible for the declining sales of traditional 'paper' role-playing games and have impacted the sales of other pop culture products.

MMORPGs have become popular enough to spin-off a number of products ranging from manga (Tokyopop's Warcraft), CCGs (Upper Deck's World of Warcraft, AEG's City of Heroes), comics (Top Cow's City of Heroes), and toys (SOTA's World of Warcraft Action Figures).
