Tokyopop's Fruits Basket Vol. 13 remained in the top spot on the BookScan list of graphic novels sold in bookstores for the third straight week, while Kingdom Hearts Vol. 3 (also Tokyopop) remained at #2 for the second week in a row.

All three volumes of Kingdom Hearts are in the top seven, along with Viz's Naruto Vol. 9 at #3, Alan Moore's V for Vendetta (DC Comics) at #4, and Naruto Vol. 1 at #6.  The seven other volumes of Naruto took the #8 through #14 spots, which means that 12 out the 14 top spots were occupied by just two series (Kingdom Hearts and Naruto).  ADV's  'nuns with guns' series Chrono Crusade Vol.7 soared into the Top Twenty at #19 in just its second week of release.

V for Vendetta slipped a bit in its quest to overtake Naruto Vol. 9 as the best-selling graphic novel of 2006 so far in bookstores, but it has still sold well over 40K and in terms of dollar sales no other graphic novel come close to it thanks to its $19.99 price tag.  The only other non-manga release in the Top 50 is Alan Moore's perennial bestseller, Watchmen at #27.
