Upper Deck Entertainment has delayed the release of its much anticipated World of Warcraft TCG, which was originally slated for a late summer debut, until October 25th.  The WoW TCG, which features art by top fantasy artists, is the most expensive game (in terms of development costs) ever produced by Upper Deck (see 'World of Warcraft TCG Is Upper Deck's Major Initiative').  Upper Deck plans to field a robust WoW Organized Play program this fall in support of the game, which can be played in a typical one-on-one CCG format or in an exciting new multi-player format utilizing Raid Decks.

Upper Deck will launch Limited-edition Raid Decks in November.  The Raid Decks allow for exciting multi-player action as one player (using a Raid Deck or several Raid Decks to make it harder) portrays Onyxia and takes on a raiding party of other players, who join together using cards from the World of Warcraft: Heroes of Azeroth series to attempt to defeat the mighty dragon Onyxia and thereby win the chance to crack open the enclosed Treasure Pack and reap rewards found nowhere else.  The Raid Decks include 66 Onyxia game cards, a 10-card treasure pack and 1 epic Onyxia card.
