Rackham, the French game manufacturer known for its Confrontation and Rag'narok miniature games, will launch AT-43, its new science fiction CMG, worldwide late this year (see 'Rackham Readies Mecha CMG').  The game features pre-painted miniatures of heavy metal mechs plus gameplay cards adorned with just numbers and symbols.  AT-43 will come with multi-lingual rules that explains how to use the cards -- there will be no wait for translations of the game.

The game will feature demonstrate the masterful design touch of artist Paolo Parente (Dust).

One very interesting feature of the new game will be 'interchangeable' parts, which will allow players to reconfigure and re-arm their fighting machines.

Unlike the metal miniatures in its other games which are produced in-house, Rackham is outsourcing the production of the pre-painted plastic figures for AT-43 to China, but the French company has taken great care to supervise the production closely to obtain the highest quality in both production and painting.

The target demographic for the game is 14-16, slightly younger than for Rackham's metal miniature-based releases.
