The Navarre Corporation, which owns FUNimation and BCI, has announced the appointment of Marvin Gleicher as Vice President of DVD Content Acquisition. Gleicher, who founded the North American division of Manga Entertainment, Inc., will have primary responsibility for acquiring and marketing DVD entertainment content for the company's distribution segment and will report to Bob Freese, Vice President and General Manager of Navarre Entertainment Media.
Gleicher, who, prior to his work at Manga Entertainment, was President of Smash/Island Records, will be in charge of procuring exclusive video content (music videos, extreme sports, etc.) for Navarre Entertainment Media. He will not be involved in obtaining content for
