Beginning on October 6th, the Independent Film Channel (IFC) will begin airing the Gonzo anime series Basilisk at 11 p.m. on Fridays, providing its first U.S. TV exposure. 

FUNimation distributes the series on DVD; one volume has been released to date.  Del Rey is releasing the manga series (shrink-wrapped, see 'Del Rey Shrinkwrapping Mature Titles'). 

The network has been airing Samurai 7, another anime series distributed by FUNimation here in the States, since March.
