Jazwares has released Marvel Heroes Ani-Movie (MSRP $59.99), a cool new toy that allows kids to make their own short stop-motion animated films featuring Marvel characters.  The initial set includes a number of different interchangeable backgrounds, four flat cardboard Marvel figures (Spider-Man, Hulk, Green Goblin & Dr. Doom), sound effects, and a swivel neck camera that can be used to animate either flat objects or 3-D action figures (not supplied).

The short films can be shown on a TV set or saved to an SD card (not supplied, although an SD slot is provided).  This toy is probably not for every kid -- stop motion animation is a tedious process, but those who take the time to learn how to do the process right may turn out to be the animators of tomorrow.
