The L.A. Times has reported that Johnny Depp will produce and star in the Rex Mundi film, and that Fight Club screenwriter Jim Uhls will write the adaptation.

 

Dark Horse recently took over the Rex Mundi comic and graphic novels series (see ''Rex Mundi' To Dark Horse') and has been pursuing a film licensing opportunity for this property since spring.
